SNAL Past Presidents

The School Nutrition Association of Louisiana (formerly American School Food Service Association of Louisiana) is a nonprofit professional organization founded in 1954. SNAL has 77 local chapters across the state of Louisiana and more than 3,000 members who provide high-quality, low-cost meals to students across the state of Louisiana. SNAL brings a unique, firsthand perspective to child nutrition issues.

School Nutrition Association of Louisiana has a rich history that started in 1954. Pelican School Food Service Association and Louisiana School Food Service Association combined to become the School Food Service Association of Louisiana in 1971-72. In 1980-81 the School Food Service Association of Louisiana became Louisiana School Food Service Association. In 2005 the Louisiana School Food Service Association became School Nutrition Association of Louisiana.

Through the years one thing remains constant, the hard work and dedication of our SNAL Presidents. The responsibility that an individual takes on as the president of SNAL is significant. In recognition of our past presidents, please see the past presidents page that dates back to 1954.
