Event Details

The Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry, along with the Louisiana USDA Food Processing Task Force and the School Nutrition Association of Louisiana (SNAL) will host the twelfth annual Louisiana Commodity Processing Expo on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Cajundome Convention Center, 444 Cajundome Blvd., Lafayette, Louisiana 70506.

Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday and will continue until 11:00 a.m. There are two education sessions offered on Tuesday morning designed to provide information and updates about commodity processing and to network with other directors and supervisors from around the state. After the morning education sessions, a food expo featuring approved commodity processing vendors will be held in the exhibit hall. The booths offer a great way to sample new food products and to meet with vendors to discuss ways to update menus and improve food bids. After the closing of the food expo at 2:00 p.m., a LA DOE task force meeting hosted by Melissa Campbell, LA DOE department of Nutrition Assistance will take place in the conference room on the first floor of the convention center.

Hotel Room Block

A block of rooms is reserved at the Hilton Garden Inn, 2350 West Congress Street, Lafayette, Louisiana 70506, located across the street from the convention center. Call (337) 291-1977 and use the group block code SNAL when reserving a room to receive the guaranteed price of $119.00 per night. Please note; Hotel room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes per room per night. Reservations must be received by September 17, 2017 to get the guaranteed group rate. Remember to bring you tax exempt form and present it to the front desk clerk prior to or at the time of check in. Guest accommodations will be available at 3:00 p.m. and checkout time is 12:00 p.m.

Registration Fee
