2017 NSLW Contest Information Packet

2017 NSLW Contest Information Packet

The 2017 NSLW theme is “School Lunch: Recipes for Success”, and it’s all about showing off the secrets to your school lunch success in your schools and districts—fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy, and of course, our students. The National School Lunch Program serves more than 30 million children every school day—that’s something to smile about!

From local food and farmers to salad bars to the behind-the-scenes teamwork that makes every tray of food possible, the 2017 NSLW theme will help you promote the healthy, nutritious meals you serve each day, as well as the efforts of the dedicated staff that serves them. This week recognizes the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life, and the impact it has inside and outside of the classroom.

SNAL members are essential to making NSLW a success. The SNA web sitehttps://schoolnutrition.org/Meetings/Events/NSLW/2017/ is full of recipes, resources, and marketing tools designed to make your National School Lunch week a success. SHOW YOUR SPIRIT and make your National School Lunch Week celebration an amazing experience!
