This FREE training event is for district directors and/or district trainers to receive materials and information to provide training in their home
districts. Materials will be provided for each session. Participant travel expenses will be reimbursed according to ICN’s Participant Travel Policies
October 25, 2017—8:00a—12:00p Forecasting the Procurement of Foods
Provides general concepts about the basic foundations of forecasting for the procurement of foods in Child Nutrition Programs. This training does not
discuss federal regulations pertaining to the procurement system. The purpose of this training is to assist stakeholders in identifying key considerations
for forecasting for the procurement of foods in federally funded meal programs.
October 25, 2017—1:00p—5:00p Foundations for Training Excellence Basics
Is a seminar intended to assist participants in assessing the current level of training skill they already possess and to encourage further professional
development. Participants will receive tools and resources they can take back to their workplaces to use immediately.
Participants who complete this Train-the-Trainer session will earn 8 continuing education units approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
and the School Nutrition Association. Codes for USDA Professional Standards are listed on the certificate of completion.
