Greetings from the 2019 Conference Chair & Committee!!

Greetings & Welcome to the SNAL 66th Annual Conference “Survival of The Fittest: Emerging Victorious in Child Nutrition”.

Now that you have survived another year of dedicated service to the customers you serve daily. It is time to pack your bags and come on down the great city of New Orleans better known as the “Big Easy”. The city of New Orleans is like no other place to host one of the most exciting and well planned 66th annual School Nutrition Conference of Louisiana. It is promised to meet and exceed your expectations.

The conference will take place at the beautiful and luxurious Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel located at 739 Canal Street.  The Crown Plaza is conveniently located at the Front Door of the French Quarter that offers seamless service and premium accommodations. We have negotiated great hotel rates, which are only $135.00 per night to make this conference affordable.

All conference activities will be located at the Astor Crowne Plaza except the exciting Bowling Party! This is the conference you do not want to miss.  Y’all come on down!

On behalf of the talented, dedicated and enthusiastic conference committee, we invite to attend this conference that has been planned with the focus on you the membership!  We are committed to delivering on our awesome theme Survival of the Fittest: Emerging Victorious in Child Nutrition.  The conference program is uniquely designed to meet the needs and challenges of the ongoing USDA program changes.  Our program Chair, Lucretia Hertzock has planned an educational and invigorating program that exceed all others.  Some of the uniqueness consists of… SNS Exam, ServSafe, New Orleans Dine Around and Chapter President Luncheon just to name a few.  The educational sessions (professional development) are designed to address the many challenges we experience when delivering school meals.  Again, this is a conference you don’t want t to miss.

Plan to come early and stay late to take advantage of all the conference activities and the excitement the city has to offer.  SNAL 2019 awaits you to come and enjoy the flavor of the CITY…home of Mardi Gras and King Cakes, National World War II Museum, Children Museum, Culinary Hospitality Institute (NOCHI), Orpheum Theater, Jazz fest, Home of the Saints & Pelicans and Harrah’s Casino just to name a few.
